Amelia J. Berry

Age: 81 • Fishersville

Amelia Ann (Jones) Berry, 81, wife of Alfred Franklin Berry, Jr. of 208 Farm Draft Lane, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Berry was born on December 22, 1935 in Annex, a daughter of the late Raymond Clarence and Nancy Katherine (Smith) Jones.

Amelia was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Staunton and she retired from Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center where she was employed as a secretary.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by a son, Steven Franklin "Steve" Berry and a daughter, Cathi Rae Lovegrove.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three grandchildren, Jacob Lovegrove of Radford, Jonathan Simpson and Jodi Simpson both of Swansboro, NC; and a great-granddaughter, Autumn Simpson of Swansboro, NC.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church by Rev. Robert D. McCarty.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Eddie Jones, Richard Jones, Mike Jones, Chucky Bryant, Jacob Lovegrove, and Jon Simpson.

It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2807 North Augusta Street, Staunton, Virginia 24401.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
