Recipe of the month is taken from a 1985 Christ Lutheran Cook Book. Many may remember the person who submitted the recipe. I hope to post a different recipe each month. You can copy and past the recipe to Word and either save or print from there.
BROCCOLI CHEESE SOUP

3 c. cut broccoli 1/8 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. chopped onion 1 1/2 tsp. mustard
1/4 c. margarine 2 c. milk
1/2 c. flour 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth
1/4 tsp. salt 4 oz. (1 c.) cubed American cheese
Add onion to broccoli and cook broccoli according to directions; drain. In medium saucepan, melt margarine, stir in flour, salt, and pepper until well blended. Add milk gradually, cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add broccoli and remaining ingredients; cook until cheese is melted.
